GX7 problem with FL600R flash

I have a GX7 body and an FL600R flash that have problem work with each other.  I'm seeking help to understand whether it's a body problem or flash problem.

1. when put the flash on GX7 hotshoe and turn on TTL-A mode, the flash can be recognized.  When I zoom the lens, the flash zoom accordingly.  However when I press shot button, the flash is not fired.  The picture is under exposed.

2. when put the same flash on another GF1 hotshoe, TTL-A mode works very well.

3. when put the flash on GX7 hotshoe and set the body to RC mode, the flash enter RC mode accordingly.  When press shot button, the flash fired and exposure is correct.

From 1 & 2 I suspect there is problem with the GX7 body, however I can't understand why scenario 3 still works.  If hotshoe has problem, how the flash is fired in RC mode?

Can I get some suggestion whether this is a camera body problem or a flash problem, or something wrong with my configuration.  I tried to reset the manual settings but the flash still don't fire in TTL-A mode.
