Meikon housing for G7X MkII goes fishing

Got a Meikon housing a few days ago as they dropped in price significantly since the G7X mkIII was announced. Took it out fishing this morning down on the local reef and put it through its paces with some kahawai and snapper. Used tracking AF and 8 fps for stills and did a pretty good job at detecting and following the fish. Yes it is more bulky than a Nikon AW-1 but sensor has more resolution and better jpeg colours straight out of camera. And with all the knobs, levers and dials you can access every setting and zoom the lens. And image quality is virtually same as camera when un-boxed.
Only difficulty is viewing the camera LCD through the rear panel, but then it's not much better on the Nikon when you combine bright sun and water splashes.
The oufit is slightly bouyant with camera loaded which is good and it has a built in water/moisture alarm should any liquid get past the seals.

oh and an underwater shot!

And next to the Nikon 1 AW-1

Looking forward to using it more as summer rolls on down here in New Zealand ...
