Canon T3i vs T6i for BIF

I use a  very basic set for BIF - a T3i + Canon 55-250mm lens, that give about 15% of keepers.

Using a T6i with 19 focus points instead of T3i's 9 should bring any noticeable improovement ( the non-keepers are so because of focus items) ?

Thank you.

Dum senesco, addisco.

Re: Canon T3i vs T6i for BIF

I believe so.  I'm using the Canon T3i (600D) camera with my Tamron 150-600mm lens.  With the Canon 55-250mm STM lens I have that attached to my Canon T7i (800D) camera.  I don't take lots of BIFs (birds in flight), but my perception is that it's much easier with the 9 center AF points with the Canon T7i (800D) camera.  I think Rocket13 should be able to answer you better, if he sees this thread.  He does take lots of BIFs and he started out with an older Rebel and now has progressed to using a Canon 90D.
