Peaking low and Peaking high, what's the difference

I have a Panasonic G7 camera which has a setting for the peaking (focus paid).

I have tried the peaking low level and the peaking high level setting but can see no difference between these setting.

I'm hoping that someone can tell me the difference and which is the best setting to use for focus peaking.

Peaking high only picks up high contrast edges. Yeah, counter intuitive, as it's not high sensitivity.

Peaking low picks up on lower contrast edges, so is actually more sensitive than the high setting.

I leave my Panny on low, & find the blue highlighting the best for all round usage in a wide range of situations. Hope this helps.

Thanks Gnine.

That's useful information.

Many thanks for this clarification, I should have thought to that. I was puzzled as I was taking high as high sensitivity, but the outcome was not convincing and was using low!
