Broken Oly 60mm f2.8 macro - any hope for repair or use to anyone?

Busted. Sadface.

Hi all, I just dropped my OMD EM5 Mk2 off my tripod - it wasn't clipped in properly when I moved it. It landed on stone, and whilst the camera appears to be okay, the lens - our beloved Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro - took the brunt of the fall. The camera attachment ring has sheared off, and the ribbon to the PCB snapped. 
Since we use this lens on a daily basis (my wife is a horticultural writer and photographer, and national collection holder of miniature orchids) we can't be without it, so have had to order a replacement.

However, I was wondering whether there's likely to be anything that can done to restore some value from the old lens. I presume it's unlikely to be economically repairable (given a brand new one is £330). But is there any way any of it could be used for spares or somesuch? Even if I can offset the cost of the replacement a bit, it would be great.

Some of these independent repair service companys buy defective equipment.

The charge for repairing my Olympus 17 mm 1.8 lens was $160 plus $10 for return shipping.  However, the repair was just a motor and the 60 mm macro has considerable damage, so I would describe a accurately as possible if you contact Olympus for a repair quote.  In one sense, a repaired lens will be basically "new" considering parts will be replaced as needed and it will be cleaned and in "like new" condition when returned. Consider whether it would be worth it for a back-up lens.

What did you do with this lens in the end?

Did you get it repaired?

I might be interested in buying it as it could be a fun repair project.

I've successfully repaired the lens, and I photographed some of the process.

Here I'm in the process of gluing the screw mounts back in place.

The mount and the lens's PCB with the severed flex still in place.

Here I've soldered eleven individual wires in place of the flex, and remounted the PCB.

It was fiddly and time consuming, but I really enjoyed repairing it.
