Can someone tell me more about this lense please?

Can you tell me more about this lense please. I am new and don't have knowledge about lenses, I have sony alpha a7 II with kit lense but recently I bought Porst uni-zoom 1:3,5/35-105mm macro mc auto m 72. I think that I have pk pentax mount and I want to put on my sony. If it's possible can you recommend me good adapter.

Thanks.

I don't know about sony, so try the proper sony forum or adapted lens forum for perhaps better answers for your mount, it is an all manual lens, so you just have to mount it.

Porst was the house brand of a German importer and retailer.

it sold camera gear made by various brands.

Your lens was made by Tokina and was sold by other brands including Vivitar, Hoya and Soligor.

( Tokina,Soligor and Vivitar)

it had a good reputation but I don't know if it will be worth getting an adapter for it now.

BTW, yes it is a PK mount so you would need a PK to Sony E adapter.

As FrancoD already said, a rebranded RMC Tokina 35-105/3.5 Close Focusing zoom, sold by the German company Photo Porst during the late 70s/early 80s, when it was more about that still relatively new zoom feature and not primarily about optical quality. But stopped down a bit, this lens seems to be o.k. Good build quality. Ponder & Best sold it as Vivitar.

In the 50s or 60s Photo Porst was the world's biggest retailer; their 1980 catalogue shows the P/K bayonet version of this standard zoom lens for DM 569 (in today's Euros that would be € 285).

I worked out that, inflation corrected , it would be about 600 Euros now, so not as cheap as some think lenses used to be.

Dumb adapters cost about €20, so it coud be worth trying.
