New BENQ pd3200u...are these lines an issue?

Hello

I just got my new pd3200u.

I came across some uniformity videos on youtube and my screen looks like this. I can see some vertical lines.

Some say that you can not avoid these kind of problems with lcd monitors.

On my photos it's not so obvious though.

The distributor here in Greece told me that is from the later batch with the updated firmware.

What's your opinion. Is it ok or should I send it back for a substitution?

Hi, it's not an LCD monitor but an LED backlit monitor. What does the 20% on the screen indicate?

Might be dirty screen effect, which can occur on TV panels. Here's some info which might explain it:

I'm confused. The first 2 images are from a YouTube video? Is the photoshop image your screen or another of the You Tube video?

Yes . The first one with the 20% symbol is youtube. The girl is my photo viewer and the last one is from photoshop.

This looks like it could be a panel issue. This has nothing to do with the firmware. I would contact the local BenQ office so that they can collect some information and see what can they do about this. I have the PD3220U, it is a newer model but it does not have this issue.

I send it back. They will check it and tell me.

This is not a Benq official store. It's the service department of their distributor here in Greece.

If they agree that there is a problem, they must replace it or fix it?

It is hard to say what they will do, but do keep me posted on the outcome. If it is verified that it is defective, they would most likely replace the unit for you, at least that is what they will do in the US. I do apologize that I am not much help here. But at least the display is being looked at by the distributor, which I am sure they are in contact with BenQ.

Ok. Thanks

I'll get back as soon as I have news.

Hi,

I've just wanted to report that I also have the same problem with my unit that I've bought few days ago. Just reported that to the store to see if I can get my replacement monitor as well.

Yes see what the store will do, I'm not sure where you are located, but if the return policy permits, I would just exchange it with the store rather than going through the warranty support, it take longer for the latter.
