Re: Duke's Door

Strage situation.

The lady must be one of us unfortunates in the building industry, who now have put on "high vis" vests when we are out of the office, in the ever growing list of stuff we have to wear.

Elf and safety.

Different light

This set is an experiment. I wanted to explore the possibilities of flat misty light for this setting thatI shot a few days before on a sunny day.

I also wanted to compare my 12mm lens to the shots I took with a fisheye defished.

I am not sure about these yet.

The inside looking out was easier to balance and the external is more sombre which perhaps fits the architecture better.

Amber Light

The sun was very welcome after what feels like weeks of dreary grey.

A 3 row pano which took 12 shots and a lot of fiddling around. Posted at half size.

I won't ask. Some people just have a rather odd sense of fashion.

Re: November Rain

I'm sure it would feel churlish to complain about the rain. This is a nice catch, I really like the clouds.

Re: Sunday stroll

That gives a really great perspective on the scale of where you are. Very different to a Sunday stroll in the park!

Re: tree by the lake

Wonderful colour. It still has all its leaves?

Re: Smoke and Brimstone

I would happily hang the first on my wall, it's fabulous. The second feels a bit lopsided and I can't get past that.

They obviously have a clever marketing department.

Re: Different light

They look like perfect candidates for B&W or some other monochrome treatment. Not only is the light flat but there's not much colour variation in the scenes.

Re: Amber Light

Yes, it is great when the sun comes out for a while.

I can feel the joy of a nice sunny winter day in these pictures.
