-Where everyone could just drop a link to a good camera/lens deal.

Just for the record, I'm looking for a GX7 MkIII deal. The PL15mm is $50 off, so I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger...

Avoid Black Friday/Cyber Monday

It's not a deal if you don't need it.

Black Friday/cyber Monday are just gimmicks to get you to part with your money.

Besides, the DPR TOS prohibit commercial posts. There are lesser websites that do what you are proposing.

There are still deals out there. If you don't feel that there isn't, or the reason behind it, then Noted. -No need for you to take part in it.

It's not a post where I'm profiting from, just one to spread the news on deals.

Other than Panasonic’s sales on the G9 and GX85, I din’t see anything particularly notable. Olympus’ BF sale is pretty much their standard monthly discount.

The E-m10iii body for $399 is nicely discounted and a great deal.

Nice reminder post.

THANKS!

My 15 year old Olympus 50mm F2 macro broke a few months ago (the aperture doesn't close anymore).  The repair cost more than getting a used one.  I decided to update to the 60mm F2.8 so I can take advantage of focus stacking and I've been watching the Olympus web site for sales and reconditioned lenses.

This morning I ordered a new 60mm F2.8 for $150 off the regular price.  I appreciate that they began their black Friday sales a few days early before stock ran out.

Best Black Friday deal in one official retailer in UK is -£50 ( yes they will give you money😁) if you buy new Lumix 12-60 lens with G9.

I want to add a 12-60mm which makes this difficult to me.

G9 with Leica 12-60mm

G85 with Lumix 12-60mm and I can afford the 15mm 1.7 I want then.

Nice reduction on Sigma 56mm (UK)

Sigma are offering £40 reduction on the Sigma 56mm f1.4 - United Kingdom.

Meaning its same as a grey import, but with 3 years warranty and eligible for the mount changing service.

Should be applied at the retailer's checkout.

Re: Keep in mind ...

I have purchased from Adorama as well. They too are fine.  Taxes are a different matter.

Where I live, you must either pay the state sales tax to the vendor (like B&H) and they send it to the state or you must pay sales tax on the online out-of-state purchases on your annual tax returns.  Thus the B&H price and the Adorama prices are effectively the same, as it purchasing from a local brick and mortar store (if they have the items in stock, which they typically don't).

I tend to get most items, especially the big ones, locally to help the local guys stay open:)

Yes, I do buy, whenever possible, from local dealers.  But our most local dealer has long since given up keeping any reasonable level of inventory. The next closest is a 3 hour drive.  So one has to make do the best as you can.

In the UK, the respected Which magazine has pointed out that the vast majority of BF deals are no such thing; the item in question having been at that price in the months before. Their advice? Be extremely cautious.

Exactly!

I'm hunting for a MkIII, but so far, all black black  deals I see are the same price from last week!

Just in case you don't know, it's worth looking at camerapricebuster as they show prices over time (and I'm sure there are other sites who also do so).

In any case, good luck 😁
