NX500 + 16-50 f/3.5-5.6 + Nikon WC-E76: Time-lapse of Aurora Borealis
5

Made with 358 images—each with a 4sec exposure.

Set-up on tripod: NX500 + 16-50 f/3.5-5.6 + Nikon WC-E76 (giving me ca 12mm at the widest end, instead of 16mm). I have the NX 12-24mm f/4-5.6 lens but wanted to check this wide-angle adapter by Nikon (5 elements—which is more than some old manual lenses like Takumar 135mm f/3.5 :-). Based on photos so far, this wide-angle adapter works really well, and is a good yet considerably cheap alternative to NX 12-24mm lens 😊. Rear filter thread on this adapter is exactly 43mm, so fits perfectly on NX 16-50 lens. No black borders 😊

Here’s the time-lapse:

Beautiful video!

Could you please post some full resolution photos with this combination at 16mm (of any subject) or with 30mm lens? Wide open if possible? This could be a nice way to "uncrop" 4k video

Yes, I will try to do it in daylight. Below are images taken with the same setup but focus isn't accurate Terrible mistake. Anyhow, they look good-enough in small size

Indeed I've used plenty of Sony adapters in the past, but they were all terrible. This one is surprisingly good. Well, Nikon lives up to its reputation
