Nikon D90 issue with Sequence Control Motor

Hi all,

I have a Nikon D90 camera, few months back the camera stopped working, as i try to snap photos, i get a sound which i think the mirror inside gets stuck when i press the Shutter-release button, on the control panel it shows as 'Err' which is Error i guess.

When i went to Nikon service center in Bangalore, the part which was mentioned to replace is, 'Sequence Control Motor' which costs 5000 INR, since the product is not under warranty, could i know if that part costs that much or should i look for some other local service center to get this fixed? Also what the service center guy mentioned is that it's because of dust it caused and also wear and tear.

Let me know guys.

fyi with all the caveats relating to having work done by un-authorised repairers.

The link is not working... I guess, what you mean is, get it fixed from a authorized service center?
