DIY PHOTOSHOOT STAGE SETUP

What would be the best way to accomplish this set up inside of a studio?

I like to build my stage props and mimic different architecture just inside vs actually having to be in a place like this. My original plan was to use plastic tarp for the background with black tape and build a rectangular box and use vinyl tile to create the ledge/ floor look.

2nd idea is to purchase foam boards and use black tape but it won't be transparent.

3rd idea is to use dry wall

what other possibilities are there?

Best way? Just make a scene like in the photo. metal frames, glass / acrylic glass, mdf board with marble and matte white finish

Other possibilities? pretty much endless...

A plastic tarp with tape will be too flexible, giving rise to all sorts of wrinkles that will show.

A wooden frame glazed with doped tissue, might achieve wrinkle free results without costing a fortune.

Well, I'd build wooden box frames, paint 'em black, then stretch translucent plastic tarp over the back of it and staple... kind of like making stretched canvas for painting. Floor could be vinyl, but you might even find a suitable wallpaper.

In truth, I don't think I'd build this just for making photos. I'd probably go with the plain translucent tarp and photoshop the rest in....
