Unremovable dust specks

I have noticed a bunch of specks and splotches in the sky of some pictures I took. I went on to investigate.  Some bigger splotches were rear lens dust which I removed easily. The nasty little specks though seem to be permanent. I tried blowing air with a blower tool. Then got a cleaning kit from VSGO. Nothing. These little thingies look permanent. I can't seem them on the sensor directly with a strong light and a magnifying lens. Yes I saw one or two dust particles which I removed easily with the first blow of air.  But this concentration, particularly on the right side of the image, I can't see any of that. The picture below is taken against a white wall at about 5 inches, focus to infinity, f22. To confirm it's not the wall, I've also taken pictures of the sky and a short clip. I also applied panning to add motion blur to any details in the subject. At wider aperture the specks disappear. In fact, I can use the camera from f8 up, no problem. Those specs must be attached to the camera. If I can't see them, and the cleaning kit can't get them yet they show up on each frame, what are they? Is there any type of damage that would look like that? Any tests I should perform? Thanks

Camera is a panasonic gx7 if that matters. No not ready to upgrade, replace etc.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX7

Does this happen on every lens?

If you've wet cleaned before (eg: you're familiar with how much pressure you can use -- I think a lot of people are too conservative) and you're unable to remove those specks, then it's possible that they're UNDER the anti-aliasing layer.  That's what happened with my GX7 and I paid around CAD$250 to get it cleaned.  And even at that price, the shop said they normally charge more but did it as a favour to the camera shop that referred me to them.

I guess that is an advantage to a camera that doesn't have an AA filter. Seems odd that dust can get under there.

I know, I felt the same way.

Yes, independent of lens. Even the position of the specks.

Thanks for sharing that. How the heck does dust get under the antialiasing filter? That's a defect. At that price, I may just start saving for the next body.

No idea how it happened although I do recall a lens change on a particularly windy day a short while before I noticed the specks.  In any case, considering the repair cost vs. new or used camera cost of another GX7, a GX85 or a GX9, I would probably skip the repair.  I only paid for the repair because, at the time, it was cheaper than finding a used GX7 plus I had and have some attachment to that camera (made lots of great photos with it and brought it on many trips).  But I sure wouldn't have paid the full retail repair cost.

Do you still use that GX7 if I may ask? Problem was one time only?

Yes, once the shop had the sensor stack disassembled and cleaned, the camera has been fine ever since (I think that was 2 or more yrs ago).  I only put the GX7 into semi-retirement this summer when I bought a GX9.
