Bill, I am still cracking up about the seagulls and should have asked my grandson. He would have told me seagulls and not pigeons Lol. I knew you would tell me to go get those fall photos.

In the past year hubby, Jerry, has gradually gotten somewhat frail with nothing specific but just aging per our doctor. However, we went to the San Manuel casino a week ago and I could hardly get him to leave he was having such a great time.

This is hard to believe, but while at the casino, a 92 year old man tried to push him away from a slot machine just as he was sitting down. I was very near and saw the man as well as a casino employee who came over immediately and called security. Good thing to because Jerry was getting ready to hit him with his cane but I talked him down. After taking a report they escorted the 92 year old out and banned him for a month from the casino. We declined to press charges for assault. The officer told me they permanently banned a 94 year old who choked a man over a machine.

Jerry can't wait to go back LOL

We celebrated his 90th birthday at the end of August with a wonderful surprise party for him at our son's house and our daughter and granddaughter flew in from Georgia.

A few pics from his surprise birthday party.

My daughter, Jerry, and son just before we open the gate for the surprise party

Friends waiting for him to come through the gates with more people in the pool area.  I think he was in shock when he saw them all.

Very good friends we have breakfast/lunch with often.  In the rear are the cooks from Palacitos tacos. The tacos were delicious (beef, chicken and fish) with all the trimmings including salad, and rice and beans. I brought the Margaritas and they were real good to Lol

Time for cake and it was so good.

My son's good friends from high school and dad.

Thanks for letting me share,

Mina

90 and just a cane.  He's doing great.  My mother-in-law is 88 and has a walker which she didn't want to use originally and now she loves it.  Things that help are always good.

A taco meal outdoors.  A very nice get together I expect.  I'd enjoy it even without a lot of people joining in.

I'm starting to get aches and pains these days!

However, we went to the San Manuel casino a week ago and I could hardly get him to leave he was having such a great time.

I remember when my wife and I hit Vegas the 1st time and I walked up to a slot with a cup on the handle and gave it a spin! A lady came over going nuts telling me it was her machine and she had gone for change. I had no clue how things were done. Good thing I didn't win. Told her I was sorry and didn't know about cups on handle

I just don't get people?????

Jerry can't wait to go back LOL

It's been a while since David asked for it, but it's been raining quite a bit, and more often than not cars were clustered around it.  Today I got a few shots in.  A Deutz D40.2 it is.

Must be a conspiracy. The Spanish speaking people don't respect American sensitivities and just keep using their own language.

I must apologize before I read your presentation on the tractor.  I overreacted at first blush, to this statement, and should have asked you to elucidate.  Instead, I stepped into my "safe zone," and ignored that you may have had something else in mind.  That was the old me.

I must apologize also for stepping into two neighbors' conversation.  I'll go soft on my elbows next time.

It was an attempt at levity.  If anybody had reason to be annoyed at it, that should have been Bill due to what I considered more tongue in  cheek than likely fit for decent company.

Instead, I stepped into my "safe zone," and ignored that you may have had something else in mind. That was the old me.

What a beautiful toy! No never mind that you have a gasket leak. What's a little oil among friends, anyway.

That blue thing (odd color) is called a "jaira," around here. New Mexicans invented language for industrial technology, which language took a while to catch up with us. So, the "harrow," became "jaira." The brakes became "brecas," vs "frenos," the windshield became, you guessed it, "guinchil." And, so it went.

But, what's not lost in translation? WORK.

I would be proud to be seen "working" in this animal.

My first inclination was to open your full sized photos to read the manufacturer's plate, or VIN. It says it all there; Klockner-Humboldt-Deutz-Ag Koln: D40.2. But, before dropping the prompt into the net, I opened to "Deutz D40.2." The hits are amazing.

And, so I learned; my friend, Dak on cam, is a farmer. But, I suspected that given all those longing photos of cats in the cornfields.

Dankeschön, or,

"Mucho Grass," or,

Muchas Gracias.

David

Thank you, Bill.

We had a freeze last week.  It burned many trees and others got singed.  They are a changing into oranges and yellow and reds and starting to go wild.  Your autumn colors are different, though.  Can't put my finger on it.  Or, maybe it's a camera thing.

I appreciate saturating them.  It's not HDR, nor really saturation.  I set the camera to extreme right sat, but, when I lower the brightness, in post, and then run it through my special formula, it brings the photo back to almost camera quality, but, leaves behind a little something else.  I have to train myself more on noticing color, graduate from crayons.
