I live in place where DSLR's are not so important as long as mobile camera exists. Hence I cannot rely buying used camera here. I am not sure I can even get a new camera where I live. I have to go my home during holidays to buy a new camera. I am not so sure about used one. That's why going for a new one.

If you or your friend live around New Delhi, 200D II cost INR 41k (body only) new in Chandni Chowk (HG & Co, great genuine shop). For used, you'll get excellent ones there at super cheap price and they are literally sold like a grocery store selling vegetables.

But people say that 200d built quality is not as good as 200d. That one comes with single kit lens only at much higher price than 200d and 800d.

200D II/SL3/ 250D feels a little tiny bit  lighter and fragile compared to 200D & 800D, but not to worry, it's basically the same and it's just the finishing that's causing that feel.

I am a newbie to this forum and also do not know much about DSLR.

I am an Amateur mobile photographer, trying to get a DSLR. I live in india, I capture both video and photos.

I don't know what the used camera market is like in India but for someone trying to move up from mobile phones to a DSLR you should really consider getting a used camera.

For a long time I have bought used or refurbished equipment and that has allowed me to get a lot of equipment that I could not otherwise afford.

I just upgraded from a T3i (600D) to a 77D and there are not a lot of dramatic differences in the image quality. For someone buying their first DLSR a used T3i (600D) like I had would be find for photos. I never shoot videos so I do not know if the video quality would be good enough for you. For photos anything with 18 Megapixals would be plenty for your first DLSR, You could also look at all the other models in between to see what is available.

As far as the image quality the Canon kit lenses are actually fairly decent even though they are not as good as some more expensive lenses. A lot of what makes some of the lenses a lot more expensive is that they are more durable, weather sealed, or have a faster aperture.

The 200D offers a lot of value for it's low price, and is newer technology. But I found the biggest advantage was it's size.

I don't use Lightroom to edit images that I capture in mobile. Either I use Snapseed on the go. Photoshop which I am comfortable with.

Then 200D II is perfect for you, it has the latest realtime transfer to phone feature. Once you paired up with Canon Camera Connect app on your smartphone, the moment you clicked, it's transferred to your phone. None of 200D, 800D, 77D have that.

How is nikkon D5600?

Re: Confused between two dslr

Update: I got a good deal of fuji X-T20 at around Rs 42000 (around 590usd)  with 16-45 power zoom lens. Thinking of taking it. What do you guys think, i have watched reviews and read a lot more. It seems like a good camera and i like the classic style and mechanical dials. Kindly let me know your thoughts.

For better lenses I am going to save up for 3 months to get a prime or versatile zoom. For now i think i can learn using this lens.

Note: Other fujifilm are way to expensive and availablity of used camera becoming hard to find in india and new x-T20 is around 67999(960usd) so it's out of my budget
