My latest travel camera
1

after 5 years and thousands of pictures my Powershot G16 started developing problems so I replaced it with this and am very impressed. My first thought, is the image quality as good as my 60D? Well not quite, but so close that I have to chuckle when I see tourists lugging their heavy, clumsy SLRs.

More zoom would be nice but the laws of physics cannot be broken. On the other hand, I could not

Re: My latest travel camera

Yeah, I found I really like the G7X Mk II for travel - so much better than lugging my heavy DSLR gear around and it was a good upgrade form the G12 for me. I recently used it on a 3-week river cruise in Europe and it was perfect for walkaround shooting. On the other hand, I took the big gear to Yellowstone in January and will take it again to Alaska next year - some situations I want the options for longer or wider glass and I may be doing more cropping so I want the better resolution. But with the G7X Mk II, that big gear sees a lot less use these days.

Kadriorg, Tallinn, Estonia... Nice shot. Still wondering, to get a G7x/G5x or M for travel. Currently I use S120.

Just little bit another look to the sameplace with another gear.
