Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

Looking for a free unlimited duplicate photo finder that finds rotated pics and the same pics that might be resized, etc.
I have found one but it doesn't let me test the most important feature for me without buying it. I would buy it but want to make sure it does what I want it to do.
I want a program that once it has found the duplicates gives me a choice to select ALL duplicates with one click and remove with a click or two. Others I've tested requires you to select them manually.
Here's how this one looks. Limitation on trial versions as in how many photos you can do are ok as long as I can test ALL the features which here I can't.
Thanks and links are always helpful. I tried 4 proggies today and this was the only one that worked the way I wanted it to but again, can't test the delete all the duplicates function.

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

The problem for the developer is that software like this is not used every day.  It's more a once every few years kind of software.  If they give you a fully functional trial, 9/10 people will just hurry and sort out their pics and then they no longer even need the software so they don't pay.

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

I've just de-duped several hundred files, mainly images, with

http://www.joerg-rosenthal.com/en/antitwin/

which I've used several times on and off over several years.

No idea how well it copes with rotated images but it's free so just put a couple of tests in a folder and try.

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

I fully understand that and from experience. There are two types of limitations. One, they limit the functionality and two, they limit the number of pics it'll do.
I prefer the second but full function. Then I can at least test it to make sure it works the way I want and then  can pay to look through 50,000 files or so.

Didn't find duplicates or didn't find rotated images?

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

Don't remember (memory sucks) but I didn't think it showed a preview of the pics so I didnt' see but after removing what I wanted removed, the rotated images were still there.

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

I also need a duplicate file finder. I've had all of these and I seem to think they were free but not sure.
If I get the dupe photo proggy it's 40 bucks and their file finder assuming it's as good is 20.
I make 750 a month so it's little tight for this kind of stuff. I don't mind paying at all and I've paid thousands for software but I'm broke these days.
My server (bought when I HAD money) kinda broke down so after some 4 years, I finally could afford to fix it so now I want to consolidate all my files and then sort them out. I have too much stuff in too many different places and it's driving me crazy.
Many years ago, my puter kept crashing something like every hour or so and I started backing stuff up on a NAS. I had duplicates, triplicates and even  quadruplicates.
When I finally got it fixed, I started remove dupes and I estimate that I deleted some 2M files or so.
I also have a tendency to delete folders (not on purpose) and so now, I can hopefully have everything backed up and I can restore them when I lose them.
I have tried the windows restore (restore folders) but it won't work so rather, I have tried to use it but no worky for me

I've just done a bit of testing with Anti-twin on images:

Original

Original resized 50%

Original rotated 90deg

I renamed so the names were quite different and removed all Exif info to minimize cheating.  I then set to detect Images and the Original and Resized were detected as duplicates but not the rotated image.

Preview of the images was simply be clicking on one of the results.

When choosing the option to find files (of any type) that are exact duplicates I've always had success.

I'd be interested to hear first hand experience of paid for software.

Re: Looking for free duplicate photo finder.

The photo finder from this company is the ONLY one I liked and I downloaded some 7 proggies so far.

One of them only found a couple hundred in a huge directory and I think there should be many more.

This one even found rotated and there was a picture preview and most importantly for me, I could click one button and it would check mark ALL the duplicates so you could delete them with one click (or move them or something).,

THat's the one I complained that wouldn't delete at all so I could see for myself but I'm assuming of course that it does delete them all.

I had something that did the same thing yeas ago and of course, it could have been this one. However, I dont' remember paying for it which throws me off...

It's worth the money for me but if I could get both this and a file finder for that money, it would be better 'cause I have lots of dupes of everything on my computer.

Give it a shot with the free download (trial) and see what you think.

Mind you, I'm not normal and I have lots of dupes 'cause I download lots of pics that I like, memes and much more which is why I have so much stuff.

Thanks.  I don't have need at the moment for more than I'm already using but I have bookmarked this post just in case.  By the way Anti-twin let's you bulk choose which ones you want to delete and then gives you the option of putting the duplicates in a special folder just in case you were a bit heavy handed.  And it does preview the duplicated images.  But as I mentioned it could find the same image with different sizes but not rotated.

I'd say this obviously does what you wants. All your duplicates are marked/selected and there's a delete button.
