For those who would be interested.

After cleaning, removing the dust, it still works like it was day one.
Turns out half of my batteries are now dead and half only last for 200 shots.
God I love this camera. It's a real pleasure to shot it, so much that I'm about to try to create some lenses profiles for Lightroom (if my damn printer is ok with printing the test charts...):
- 28mm f/2.8
- 50mm f/2.8 macro
- 35-105mm f3.5-4.5
- 70-210 beercan
- 100-300 f/4.5-5.6
If I manage to make it work, I'll share the profiles here for whoever would want them.

Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D (Dynax 7D / Alpha-7 Digital)

These two share optics with the Sony versions which should already have profiles (I don't use Lightroom.)

Excellent write up.  I share your love of the 7d.  I still have many images from mine that are in my favourites 'desktop carousel'.  I moved from the 7d to the A7Rii and while you can see the difference in detail you still have to love the results from the 7d.  Mine still gets an occasional outing as it's so nice to hold and shot, well for landscape action was always a challenge with it.

Nice write up .

Most of my lenses are Minolta ones that I use on my Sony a900 & a77ii along with film cameras .

Still doing a good job .

I also still use my Dynax 7d from time to time too .

Regarding the lack of bring able to magnify the images in RAW on review , I have my camera set to shoot RAW and JPEG for this reason , so I can check focus etc .

I use Lightroom and on importing them I have it set to not import duplicates .

Doing this imports the RAW files but ignore the JPEGs and just gets scrubbed when I format the card .

Profiles for the Minolta lenses are/were on the pages for downloading them , as well as Sony's ones .

Might be worth looking again before starting them yourself from scratch .
