Hungry?

Home milled whole wheat and rye with linseed. Baked in a Dutch oven at 250 Deg C (482 Deg F) for an extra crunchy crust. Snapped with the DP1S.

I made a batch of wild damson jelly as well as the hedgerows are groaning with them. Only snapped on my phone which has a fake aperture priority mode with f/0.95 at the widest. Eat your heart out Leica with your Noctilux lens

Beautiful bread, and great lighting!

And I had to look up wild damson, never heard of that fruit before. It looks like a great snack - I would add some butter as well.

Thanks, John. Damsons are small, almost black plums. They are pretty sour and never really sweeten up enough for eating raw. Most are also the size of big acorns. I make jelly 'cause I can't be fagged to de-stone them all. The jelly is a crazy, dark colour and It's great in natural yoghurt, which I've also started making and is amazingly easy and really tasty. It must be my sub conscience preparations for Brexit;)

Me too. My mum used to make damson jam - she called it damson cheese. Brilliant on a slice of her home-made bread with lots of butter.

Ah, sorry Ted.  In case you're wondering, it tastes divine on buttered, crunch toast (England's culinery gift to the world)
