Canon Colors at Night
3

Five cameras from five different manufacturers, one of which is an M series camera. All cameras were set to the green box, full auto, hand the camera to your grandma mode. Images are out of camera JPEGs with all image parameters reset to default. Shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, exposure, etc. were all chosen by the camera. The only modifications to the images were slight cropping to adjust framing and resizing. Basically, if the camera was new out of the box, this is what you would get with the full auto factory settings.

The scene is lit with 2700K 90+ CRI LED lights and each camera was braced against a chair to minimize camera shake.

Which one is your favorite image?

p.s. for those looking at the other poll, https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/6306351 I have adjusted the order of the cameras and your favorite camera from the last poll will not have the same letter this time around.

same cameras as in the previous test?

Because the depths of field of B and C are very different, can I think that the cameras are range from phone to full frame?

Yes, the same cameras, but in a different order

Yes, there are sensor size differences as well as lens differences.  Each camera chose aperture automatically.

thanks Again

I love these tests, there’s no definitive answer. I might like B on my iPhone XR on Monday then when Friday comes and I’m using my Samsung Tablet I might like C. So it’s much easier to just list the camera brand and let me choose which is best by the camera brand.

I will say there has been a slight shift in preferred cameras in this second round.

Re: A exposure

I think if they were exposed the same I'd like A the best. A and C adjusted for exposure and aligned.
