Re: BW Underwater

Superb lighting and composition, in the best tradition of B&W.  What one would call art.

Re: BW Underwater

the tiny hint of teeth on the head on makes for a nice effect.

You grouped that as Outside Harbor - is that all spots in the very near vicinity to the harbor exit?  Are you encountering tigers more often these days?

In '01 I saw a number of hammerheads at various spots, but in the 3 trips since, don't think I've seen any sharks at all.  Though nearly all of that was boats of 6+, rather than shore dives.

Re: BW Underwater

Yes just out of the entrance to Honokohau Harbor. There are 3 mooring buoys on the left wall.  There is a green channel marker across from them.   Before the 3 moorings is a small beach called crescent or dog beach.  Divers enter from there.  It is thought that the tiger sharks follow the fishing boats to the harbor hoping for scraps.  They are seen quite regularly - perhaps every 3 dives or so. One is named Laverne.  She is not the agressive one.  There are two galleries on my Light Reflection site - one of life just outside the harbor and one of Kona Coast.
