X-eyed stereo of Meadow Brook Hall

These were all done using the cha-cha method and a Canon T7i. I used StereoPhotoMaker to create SBS pics and MPO pics. Meadow Brook Hall is a large estate in Southeastern Michigan once owned by the Dodge/Wilson families. These are straight out of the camera for color, etc. I used a HDR-scene shot for some (takes 3 quick shots and averages them for HDR), that adds saturation. No breeze or wind, so great for cha-cha.

2D image of the estate--combined 2 pics for a panorama.. On the right side is a wall with a door--behind that wall are gardens which you will see in the next pics.

Gardens behind wall.

Raised garden area.

Observation deck next to raised garden area.

Wall flowers.

Up close. No breeze or wind so cha-cha worked great!

Back of the estate facing golf course.

View overlooking golf course.

Cha-Cha close up.

Another view with event tent in background. Can be rented for weddings, etc.

Another close up of the white flower.

Interesting, not sure what this is.

Entrance to side-yard off back of the estate. Great depth.

Petunias up close. Subtle detail you don't see in the 2D pic.

2D HDR pic of the backyard--didn't have a good stereo shot of this.

Side yard, on way to rose garden.

Further-out view of side yard from reflecting pond.

From the other side of the pond.

Rose Garden walkway--great depth.

View from other side of walkway.

Overlooking flowers. Roses were mostly over season now.

More flowers.

Good depth.

Used HDR on this one.

Another HDR pic.

These are really good cha-chas.  It's easy for people to forget that it is possible to take great 3D images with a single camera and a little patience, practice, and skill.  Table top subjects with a tripod and a slide bar is a good way to get started with single camera 3D.

Thanks!

I simply stand and shift from left to right. Takes some experience, but once I got the hang of it, I could do close ups and scenery with ease, and of course Stereophotomaker makes it easy to align with auto alignment. I can get great depth on scenic shots with wider shifting between shots, of course, but then the objects begin to look miniature, and you can see that in some shots. No wind is the key.  I also have had good success with my cellphone camera. Some camera apps have a level to use, which makes it easier. White balance can be tricky between shots as well, and some cameras allow you to keep the same settings between shots.

Nice 3D.  I always do the same as you.  Single camera and left-right.  Handhedl most of the time.  Tripod at night.
