panasonic 25mm f1.7 tight fit on e-pm2

i've only ever used the kit lens, olympus 40-150, and panasonic 12-32 on my e-pm2 which all twist smoothly onto the mount. all of those have plastic mounts. i just tried a new panasonic 25/1.7 on the e-pm2 body and it was a really tight fit, however it's the first aluminum mount i've tried on the e-pm2 body. is this normal, or is that a sign of a potential defect in the lens's mount? thanks

I think it is normal that some lenses fit a bit more tightly than others. Especially comparing plastic to metal lens mounts.

Have you tried applying a smidgen of nose grease to the specific areas? Sometimes works wonders!

Check the face of your body's mount for corrosion - I had an EPM2 that had that problem.

that worked. thanks. i guess the two metals create more friction than the plastic mounts do.
