SX60 not so bad after all (Photo's)
2

Having the SX60 for a brief time, I'm getting used to it.

First time out ...was bad....almost returned it.

But am growing to like it.

IS seems pretty good. This at 1/50th shutter:

around 1300mm

This at ISO 400 full telephoto

Some subject hide when they see me

Colors seem typical Canon..Good!

Higher ISO (800 this one) not terrible:

AF is faster than my SX50. EVF much better, too.

Detail seems good. this one slow shutter speed

Another subject hiding

All handheld....jpegs...edited with FastStone.

Absolutely amazing!!!  Is it you or the camera?!!!! This is so far the best I have seen from the SX60 and probably from any other SX. Thanks for sharing.

@ ANAYV.. great captures & pictures!

@ Avian.. when researching the SX60, it was because from seeing Helm's impressve pictures, which helped me deciding to purchase the SX60 camera..

..Cheers, John..

Big issue with SX50 vs SX60 is that people were comparing max zoom from the respective cameras. Very clear there's nothing wrong with SX60 IQ-wise.

Great shots Anayv!

I shouldn't be amazed, after seeing your previous shots from this camera. But I *am* amazed. I like them all, but the pics of the cormorant (?) are my favorites from this series. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the kind words , bill!

Yes, it's a cormorant.

Next time I will share some Great Blue Heron shots I took today.

This one local park is filled with wildlife...I never knew.
