For those with the 56 and 90

Any chance of one of you that has both lenses taking a couple photos for me?

I'm looking for a shot of the same scene and light with the 56 at 1.2 and 2.0 and the 90 at 2.0. basically I'm trying to get a handle on what the light intake differences are. Thanks to anyone who wouldn't mind taking a moment to help

I've got both and can help.

Same ISO and shutter speed?  Subject distance of a few meters?

Same iso and shutter speed please. A few meters would be perfect. That should get me the info I'm after, thanks!

Here you are! My son was just under 5m away from the tripod. Focus was on eyes. Lightly processed JPGs below and you can find the original RAW files here and here.

Whoopsie.  I forgot, but took another just now.  The sunlight had changed, so I had my son move a bit to the right in this one.

Original RAW here .

Re: For those with the 56 and 90

Thanks a lot Marc. Am I crazy or does it look like the 56 at 1.2 is grabbing barely any more light intake as the 90 at f2? I was thinking of getting the 90 and parting with the 56 but had concern about losing that much light however it looks almost identical. Which seems kind of strange but isn't bad news

I agree, in well lit situations like this.

Low light situations is where the 56 excels over the 90.  Even with it's "slow focusing", the 56 can lock on better than the 90.  In good light, the 90 bests the 56 in every way, in my opinion.
