Coming back to Fujifilm
4

My first Fujifilm camera was the S5 Pro back in 2008. Later, I went with the X-100 series and while I really liked the image quality there have been a few features I longed for.

The X-T2 checks off a lot, maybe all, of the boxes for me and I look forward to using it. I've also noticed while Internet shopping that lots of folks have been taking advantage of the excellent sale pricing in play at the moment on this camera.

I'm moved away from my M43 equipment, as decent as it was, the Pen-F.

I added a second lens; the 50-230 lens, as I'm not a frequent telephoto shooter and it's a good value.

I'm off on a road trip from Florida to New England this week and am intending on breaking in the new gear. If I get some keepers I may share here.

Congratulations on the X-T2 kit Joe. We see a lot of hand wringing and fussing over graphs and detailed specifications so the "good value" aspect of gear is sometimes overlooked, IMO.

I'm certain you will get many keepers traveling up and down the east coast. Looking forward to seeing some of them here.

Enjoy the journey!

Welcome back in the camp

I also left Olympus and the PEN-F, because I wasn‘t happy with their RAW file colors. Costs me a lot of work in LR but never wasn‘t really happy. Today, I apply the film simulation in LR, add some color dynamic in case of Classic Chrome, adjust exposure, and I am done.

Welcome back. I went from Nikon to Fuji to Nikon, back to Fuji. I now have, and love, the Fuji X-T2. Just took a little getting used to. Great little camera. Fuji is a little short on lenses, but I have all I need. (14mm, 18-55, 50 f2.8). Missing something on the long end but for now I am happy. Both the 14 and 50 are incrediblySHARP (my requirement) and focus close. The 18-55 is a nice general lens.

As much as I enjoyed the Pen-F, I came back to Fuji as I feel it’s a better user experience.

I had the original X100 and X-Pro 1. I was schlepping around too much stuff and “slimmed down” to the Pen-F. That, a few small primes and the 14-42EZ all fit in a small bag.

However, I missed the look of the Fuji files, and the 35/1.4. The ergonomics and menu system are superior (IMO) on my XE-3. I mostly shoot straight to JPG. So much easier.

Welcome back. I came from canon about 2 years ago and haven’t looked back.
