Ive been enjoying this lens greatly. In good light i often take it instead of the 50mm STM.

Take the lens cap off the sand bottom left. For two reasons.

1. It doesn't belong in the picture.

2. When you put it back on your lens you could end up with the front element getting damaged by grains of sand.

Re: Portraits with the 55-250mm STM

You are a lucky man having a partner being patient enough for 235mm.

Nice pics. I have a different opinion on this lens (could be my copy), but i'm glad you like it and you're having a lot of shooting fun with it.

If your facts are different we could save the peace just by calling it copy to copy variation.

Well i was far away, i waved at her for a pose

I really enjoy this lens. If it was a fuji i would have to pay $500 for it.

Very nice, its one of the hidden gems. Nice range and weight.

This and the 50mm STM is what every Canon crop user should own.

I got my copy for less than $140

Canon 55-250 Lens

The only negative is the plastic mount makes it feel a little cheap.

I have the 55-250 mm STM and it is a gem when you consider its cost and it's performance.

I bought the EOS M-50 refurbished from Canon. I just couldn't pass up the package of camera and 2 M lenses one  being the 55-200 mm IS STM.

This was

the first time I've used it. I just happened to have it on the camera as I was sitting  around with relatives. It too is quite a nice lens for the price.

Straight out of camera jpeg with a contrast curve adjustment and size reduction.
