About control lock on Fujifilm X-T100

Hi everyone,

I have recently met a problem and have to solve it quick.

Got a Fujiflm X-T100 before and put it aside for some months.

So now when I try to use it, found that the control lock is on, cause I was unable to press any of the button, including the play/trash or Fn button.

I have searched for solutions and looked at the manuals as everyone says "press the Menu/ok button for seconds" to wait for the picture of control lock showing up,

but I pressed for like 30seconds, still nothing showed up or unlocked the buttons.

I can switch to different modes and take photos, just unable to delete or play the photos, or even get to minor adjustments in different mode(M/A/S/P/others).

Thank you guys if you read it. Hope someone can help me figure out what the next step i can do to get back full control of this X-T100.

You need to have the power switch set to on and press the menu button a few seconds.

oh sorry maybe I wasn’t expressing in a clear way.

The camera is on, and fully charged.

I pressed the Menu button for seconds, even for a minute, sadly the control lock is still locked.

so any clue to help figure what is happening?

can’t do any reset as unable to reach the setting menu.

Each time you press and hold a few seconds it should go from off to on. Press one time and if it says on release and press again to say off, that is how mine works.

oh i will try again before sending it for fixing will try several times. I now see it as those buttons are broken/down/not functioning, maybe this is the hardware problem.

Thanks anyway for the help! Thank you very much.

X-T100 Control Lock function only locks the following 5 buttons.

1) Q

2) AF

3) WB

4) Self-Timer

5)  Burst  shooting

If control lock is active, pressing any of the above buttons a big lock yellow icon is displayed in the middle of  the screen for 2 seconds then disappears.  You can still see a small lock icon on the right side of the screen.

If any other buttons are locked, your camera is malfunction.
