Fuji XF 90 f2 Dust issues

I have the Fuji XF 90 f2.  I also own the XF10-24, XF 23 and XF 16.  The XF 90 has a sheen of dust just under the front element.  I have not encountered that problem with any of my other lenses.  My questions are:

1. has anyone else encountered this issue?

2. how have you addressed it?

Being careful not to hurt your eye, shine a flashlight through your lenses from the rear side.

They all have a surprising amount of dust.  You might just be able to see it more easily on the 90 [without the flashlight].

Unless it’s affecting your pictures do absolutely nothing and enjoy your lens. πŸ‘πŸ»

After all is said and done and your photo is hanging on the wall, no one is going to know or care what camera, lens, or what post processing you used. All they care about is if the image moves them.

This is my mindset.   As long as my photos are clean, I don't care what's in there.   Too many battles to fight in life...can't bother with that one.

Along same lines, my wife once badly scratched the center of the lens on an X30 I used to have.   When she showed me, my first thought was "I'm going to have to Photoshop that out of every photo I ever take with this camera from now on".   But as big as the blemish was, it never showed in any photo so it became a non-issue.  That's how I feel about dust...if I can't see it in photos, I don't care.

A scratch on the lens front element probably won't affect an image but dust inside the lens could affect image contrast.

Naturally, depending on the amount of dust, most people may not notice the loss of contrast but take an identical picture with a clean lens and the difference is obvious.

Where the dust is located also has a lot to do with how it affects an image.

Yes, absolutely agree. There are "who cares" levels of particulate and then there are "this isn't working properly" levels. You have to know the difference.

You are all right, of course.  I do not notice any of the dust in any pictures I have taken.  My only concern was how to stop the dust from entering the lens.
