Can Confirm Tamron 28-300mm Di VC PZD works fine with Canon EOS RP
1

Finally got the Tamron 28-300mm today.

Put it on my Canon EOS RP with the standard Canon Mount Adapter (with Control Ring). Worked fine, AF and all, straight out of the box. Image quality not bad. I am happy.

No firmware update required on lens.

My RP was already at 1.1.

Hope this helps. This lens is NOT on Tamron's list of lens supported on the R & RP.

I did a post on my personal blog with pictures (if you are curious or interested):

All the best. This made MY day.

Cheers,

Anura

Tamrons never had compatibility issues with newer Canon bodies.  Unlike the dreadful old Sigmas.
