mid range zoom on NIkon full frame, Nauticam housing

I shoot a D850 and a D810 underwater in Nauticam housing.

I've been frustrated since day 1 at the lack of lens choices for FX here. When I search for recommended lenses, I get two macros (60mm and 105mm, I have tried both), and some wide angle fisheyes plus the Nikon 16-35. Nothing really longer than the 35mm except the two macros.

I went ahead and bought a 60mm macro plus a $400 port and tried it with the idea that it would be a more 'normal' lens so suitable for diver-size subject while still being able to shoot macro. Well, it was too short for macro and not wide enough most of the rest of the time. And it did not have macro. After one dive I put it back on the shelf.

In doing more research today I found a lens/port/extension chart from Nauticam, and there was actually a recommendation there for the 24-85 lens, though not the 24-70. In researching the 24-85 and 24-70 options I found a number of comments about the 24-85 focusing closer than the 24-70 (making it much better behind a dome) and issues about the 24-70 changing optical center as it moves while zooming.

OK, I don't have the 24-85, but if it works, I may just get one. I'd use it behind a 230mm dome port, with a 50mm extension ring and 19139 zoom gear per the chart here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YlaGxsvTXuh1sXDG_SnIA9PICqjH0gLy/view

Has anyone used the 24-85 underwater?   If so, what port, extension, diopters and results?
