I think she's still looking pretty good :)

.... for an 11 year old truck. I bought it new for a steal of a price ($31K window sticker, I got it for $23K) I did a bunch of stuff to it right in the first few months I owned it ($5,500 worth) but it was mostly stuff that does not stand out. Magnaflow true dual exhaust, super top end shocks, bed cover, etc, etc... then killed the chrome.... which I probably would have done anyway, but especially with my camo kick panels, I think chrome would look terrible. The stereo was aside from the $5,500, and it was awesome then, but has sort of evolved ever since. Probably not quite as loud now, but has never sounded more balanced, and full. Traded 5% loudness, for 90% better sound.

Anyway, the styling of my truck has been pretty polarizing. I've had a good number of guys come up to me (often hunters, or fishermen, or red necks lol ...who just flip out over it, like, wow ! I've never seen a truck styled like this ! Love it ! ...but have had plenty of guys in their white trucks, covered in chrome just kind of look at it crosseyed, like, "but wait, wheres the flash" lol

Not so much as a single door ding

Oh wait... this is not a new photo, but I think its pretty cool... now to find it...

My custom tailgate oval

PS, Even when I bought this truck, I always thought the GMC's and Chevy's looked better (I just got such a good deal, I had to go with the Ford)... And I continued to feel this way all the way until the last couple years. But IMPO, the brand new Chevy's have gotten kind of weird, while the new Fords look SO freaking tough and awesome !ย  My dream truck is a 2020 Ford Raptor.

But I do love trucks of all brands, and if somebody is handing them out, I'll take one right now, and worry about the brand later

Well regardless of the vehicle ! But yea, probably part of the reason the truck only has 61K miles on it, while I've worn out 3 little cars from brand new to throw away in the same 11 years ! (I drive a LOT)

But anyway, the truck is a great toy on my days off .... and I prefer my GF to drive it for around town stuff in Sacramento. One because it weighs 5200 lbs, and two, so it doesn't just sit...

Yes, but can you take pictures with her?

Is she equipped with a slot?

Sure, I could take photos "with her" but she is so much prettier than me, I choose to just stay out of the pictures myself ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol

Well, I bought my truck when I had a boat, and needed something to tow it. After the boat went away, I already had the truck, and it was paid for.... And my GF would kill me if I sold it ๐Ÿ™‚ She probably drives it more than I do.i often joke with her like, Hey, I put gas in your truck... Or, I washed your truck for you ๐Ÿ™‚

BTW, I owned a Toyota Tacoma also. It was not a bad truck but I litterally wore it out in only 150k miles. When it barely squeaked by smog inspection, I sold it quick before I got stuck with a truck that wouldn't pass smog. My mechanic and the smog guy said my rings were wore out and it needed to be completely rebuilt. No thanks.

I also owned an 83' Chevy S10.... cr@ppy vehicle right ? Yeah that one went 276,000 and was still going when I gave it to my stepfather.

Regardless of the vehicle, I always do my oil changes religiously...

I love them, and BTW, Ford Raptors have the best resale value of any American made vehicle ! Not just any truck... Any vehicle period ! That's why even used, they are crazy expensive !

My old landy has 500,000 klm on the clock and still going strong, i got 400k out of my old toyota sold it 7 years ago and still see it on the road. with your tires sticking out the side you would be fined here in aus , a nice set of flares would look good on the beast.

the toyota truck is the largest seller here, but the ford isnt far behind, must admit the Raptors are pretty cool looking truck, but they cost a bomb , $80k i would think.

I especially like the dirt-gray on the tire treads, contrasting with the black of the rest of the tires. Nice job.

Honest question...

As someone who has never had any interest in owning a truck, to someone who obviously does like them, what’s the attraction? They certainly are popular but other than people who need a washable, durable bed, for whom they’re obviously very practical, I don’t understand the point over a car or SUV.
