Bonsai (crosseye)

A touch hyper, but it brings out the bonsai!

Hi. What is the scale of this tree?   I usually associate bonsai with potted trees.  Not a nicpic. It is a good stereo shot I hasten to add.  GS

Re: Bonsai (crosseye)

Hi, Wayne,

I had no problem comfortably merging this, in spite of the misalignments of edge details that have seemed to cause you difficulties in other pairs. The non- homologous edge details could, I’m sure, be easily mitigated, ( but of course, not totally eliminated) in this image pair.

Given your having gone a bit “hyper”, the tree is beautiful and well modeled, being well within the functional zone for effective parallax.  This is, however, a good example of  all beyond the near middle ground being rendered in 2D - flat as a stage backdrop or the painted background of a museum diorama. Just not hyper enough, eh?

Lovely scene with great colors, though.

Dave

Re: Bonsai (crosseye)

Thanx!  This is a cha-cha, so the clouds and their shadows moved between captures.  But the edge mis-alignments don't seem to be noticeable at all.  Certainly there are none in the foreground elements.

As for the 'painted backdrop' comment, that's how near infinity to infinity objects appear in my brain.   Perhaps there is a perception issue at work?
