Outdoor shoot A6500 + Zeiss Touit 32/1.8 and Batis 85/1.8 (pics)
2

Did a shoot yesterday in downtown. Used my fave combo for shoots using the Touit 32 and the Batis 85. Shot primarily with RAW except the ones with subject movement. I find that the eye AF is very reliable for still shots. I use it for headshots and sometimes half body shots. As I mentioned before it is just a pain to press another button while doing it.

It's great to do a lot of walking with this gear, I felt like shooting the whole day.

I'll put up the images in my replies.

Cheers,

José

Batis 85 is in a different class of portraiture- the arms and face all look much slimmer and so do the features.

So,

Batis 85 to retain the customer .Touit to lose the customer but win the landlord of the property.

The positioning of the rail support in your third pic is really weird. Did you not see that? I would be embarrassed by such a suggestive pic. Are you blind of this? Sorry, I am embarrassed to see such ...

I guess the presumption is that someone could be lulled into thinking that the railing is perpendicular not parallel to the hip  and below the belt.

If she were sitting on the railing no harm would be done to either the viewer or the girl.

You are entitled to your opinion but to me that's baloney. It is obvious from this picture that it was taken from a pedestrian way near a street.

Ok thanks.

For environmental portraits like this, I really like a 32mm lens but I wish I had the 24mm with me too.

The gear and the operator did a great job, but a great subject and backgrounds streamline the process, well done, very nice set!

I have those two lenses and enjoy them immensely

I shouldn't be surprised because I took this combo (Batis 85 and A6500) to volleyball games last winter and was ecstatic about its AF performance. So for a brighter and outdoor setting the combo was amazing. Looking forward to shoot tennis with this combo. I don't think I need to turn off the OSS as I usually carry four batteries with me.

Yet another totally ridiculous comment by this poster. I’m thinking this dude has nothing better to do other than troll and stir the pot on web forums.

I enjoyed all 3 sets of photographs. Those two lenses produce beautiful skin tones and colours. Nice compositions and natural poses of your model.
