M100 and the 32mm

Just want to share with you some shots I took with the 32mm I recently acquired. This is my first (and only) prime lens I got aside from the 15-45mm that came with the M100. All JPEGs with slight adjustments in post.

The 32mm added new life to my aging M100 and it's been a joy to use. Colors are spot on and images are pretty sharp too.

Great all around lens. ==b

nice capture of the fish, I've always struggled to capture a decent picture despite several attempts.

Yes, that lens is awesome!   I call it the Sony 6400 killer. You never hesitate about the M quality with this lens.....

Some really nice shots there. The only thing I’d take issue with is your description of your M100 as “aging”. The camera was announced under two years ago, so yours can hardly be aging. My 7DII is getting on for five years old, and it still seems new and exciting to me! I still have my 20D, which I bought in 2005. That might be considered as aging, but it still takes great pictures.

As the length of a thread approaches 150, the probability that someone will make the obvious "it's not the camera, it's the photographer" remark approaches 1.

Your shots were all in the awesome range.  The ones above are my favorite.  It's not easy shooting fish in an aquarium with some lenses and I struggled to take similar shots just a few months ago with the same lens.  Although you had some benefits in your favor (in that the fish was close to the glass and the camera appears to be facing the glass head-on), the results are excellent.
.
Your M100 has the same sensor as all the others in the new range (M5, M6, M50) so it's certainly not ageing.  I'd say that the combination of a fast lens on the M100 body is producing some exceptional results that few other combinations would come close to.  I think your shots above show near-absolute realism.  The colors are really nice and I'd assume they might have come from a pricey DSLR with an expensive lens.  You should be shooting for travel blogs!

Thanks jim, he's my pet betta fish. He sometimes do "strike a pose" whenever somebody's near. It did have to take quite a lot of tries though to fix focus on the eyes.

Re: M100 and the 32mm

Before buying this lens I WAS thinking of getting the Sony Alpha a6400 mainly for the viewfinder. Did not regret my decision.

BTW, impressive flickr showcase you have there!

Those photos show the quality of the M100 and the 32mm M lens, but also the quality of your photography. Great shots.

I'm still waiting to get the 32mm for my Canon M bodies and every time I see samples on here I itch to pull the trigger on the purchase. Might be able to afford it next month, with a bit of luck.
