x-t30 lens release button

Hello.

Just bought a xf 35mm f2 wr lens for my x-t30 few days ago, everything works fine except one thing. When i remove the lens,i found the lens release button sometimes hard to push down, you need some extra force to fully push down the button. But it never happened to my xc lens.Is this normal or something goes wrong?

Thanks.

Re: x-t30 lens release button

The XC lenses have plastic mounts, the XF have metal mounts. They do feel tighter, as they should. The button? The tighter mount may be adding stiffness to the button. It is probably okay.

Re: x-t30 lens release button

When attaching lens to X mount the lock pin jumps into lens mount. If you keep rotating lens after "click" sound - it is a bit "jamming" the pin, making the unlock button harder to press. Typically lens still allow about 1 degree of radial play in the mount, if you try to rotate lens a bit in opposite direction before pressing unlock button - it may be easier to press.
