canon connect strips geotags when copying files via wifi

Hi all

How do I get the Canon connect app to NOT strip geotags out of EXIF data when copying files from camera to my phone via WiFi?

Is there a setting for this? (I've looked to no avail)

(When I copy the same photos to my phone/PC using a SD card reader, the geotags are present in the EXIF data, as expected)

Thanks in advance

Yep. No idea why downloading photos via WiFi works that way.
