Thank you for this interesting contribution. You make great photo's! However, the sl1 is not the most humble camera. It still has a rather large sensor. On flickr there are several photographers taking great photo's with point and shoot camera's or smartphones but they always use photoshop techniques to create those images.

Without photoshop the more expensive camera's deliver better results is my experience in terms of image quality.

Wonderful photos. The camera is an instrument. An artist can play an inexpensive instrument and make it sound beautiful. I was considering going from M4/3 to APSc, but decided against it. Instead, I'm going to become a better 'artist' on my instrument.

Small, light, great native lenses, lovely Canon AWB and colour, excellent image quality.

This is actually my favourite camera of all time. I pair it with the 24mm F2.8 exclusively and love it.

If mine ever breaks I'll just buy another one. Decent ISO 3200 and 18mp is enough for me.
