Re: Vintage Minolta update!

The 3000 looks like my Vectis S-1. The 175 looks like a really nice camera. I can't believe there is so much difference in IQ.

Re: Vintage Minolta update!

Normal, the Minolta RD-3000 is a derivative of Vectis
And the Minolta RD-175 is the first Digital Minolta, and those four years that separate them!

Nice to see the results of 2 oldies at work. The 4 years difference, sensor size, resolution are really showing in the pictures you posted.

Thank you for posting.

Re: Vintage Minolta update!

Hi Maoby, a search of the model name (Dimage RD 3000) brought me to your thread, would you be able to tell me what flash card you're using and how it's formatted? I've come into possession of one of these cameras and I'd really like to use it, however my attempts to make it read a modern card have thus far failed and I'd rather avoid trawling ebay for a vintage card.

Re: Vintage Minolta update!

Hello, The RD-3000 is one of my favorite cameras in my collection.
So fun to use, and I love the shutter sound.

For memory cards, I strongly suggest the first generation one (see photos)
And no special formatting is needed to make them work.

It all works fine from 2MB to 512MM
Good luck
