Beautiful work and shots.

Catching up here and glad I did. Beautiful details and subjects at the larger views. Would love to visit there. Great to see subjects we don't have and that's always a huge bonus in my book.

All the best in the UK and great shots.

Danny.

Re: 50-200mm vs. 100-400

The lens construction of the 50-200 appears to differ from the 100-300 and the 100-400. For one the lens is sharper and pick out detail better than the 100-400. The other noticeable difference is the lens has a 3d pop but the 100-400 images appear to be flat. So both lenses gives a different look. Both photos of the zebras which are below, they were taken roughly in the same week, one in Kruger and the other in Sabi Sand. I personally prefer the look of the 50-200.

The PL 50-200 might be a Sigma design, there was a post about such a lens patent on 43rumours lately .

Sigma is hidden behind lots of Olympus & Panasonic lenses. E.g. P 12mm F1.4, Oly F1.2 prime lenses to name some of them.

The PL 50-200 is very tempting but the price, man... I stil hope that Oly will come out with own version of the 50-200 (F4?), hopefully in even smaller package. Or at least it will make a price pressure on the PL version.

Keep enjoying it!
