Re: RX10 IV Beach portrait shot

in your profile you say you are a

Singapore professional photographer

then  you ask for criticism and comments i would have thought one eye open and half a right hand  is not very good

Well, being a pro I expect more!

Especially the guy too harsh should me more soft IMO

Closed eye in 1st...don't like that either? Also cropped too tight?

Last shot... a pole in the way very distracting same thing for someone bending over

I've seen better from iphones

Sorry

Not good because of the eyes. When I shoot any type of snap portraiture I shoot 10 fps bursts. That allows you to pick the best one.

我只拍摄非凡的照片。

..I had to google translate your last sentence in your post which is in Chinese..

我只拍摄非凡的照片。

..which is translated "I only take extraordinary pictures."..

..and I can understand you have your own "unique" style of photography..

..for me, I fully support others who may walk in their own paths in photos..

..first the positives, I think you did a good job in capturing these candid pictures..

..however, I agree with others that the "compositions" can be better & improved..

..below is a couple of "my takes", they are just "crops" from your posted images, and trying to "re-compose" them..

..example 1..

..example 2..

..in my opinion, best not to post pictures of children (unless they are yours)..

..also the last picture of the young lady, the background does not "look" favourable, unless if you can mask it out..

..otherwise, I think you are doing great on your journey in photography.. just need a few refinements to improve on things.. and best to spend time in thinking & studying on "composition", it will make a world of differences in making your images better..

..Good luck! ..thanks for sharing & happy shooting..

..Cheers..

Pretty harsh. As I consider all of these candid or street and not a studio setting then they are fine as is. if I had to harshly critique any of them I would say the last picture is way to busy. Critique is one thing, insulting is another.

Haha, it doesn't matter, this shows that the technology I shot on the street needs to be improved, thank you.
