photo quality

I am looking to have a UW photo printed professionally they told me the photo was 2000KB and the print would be of good quality printed up to A3 size The photo was taken on my Canon G11. I have just started using a Go Pro Black 7 video camera for our UW video,s If I take a still from the video will it give me the 2000KB file I need to get top quality prints. in the factory settings or do I need to change them. ?

Can you even get that number of KB from a video camera or do I need to purchase a DSLR ?

You won't get a "top quality" still image off a Gopro from a movie.  It's debatable if you can get a really good still image off a GoPro in any setting - Gopro's are very video-oriented.

There is nothing special about 2000k - that's just a 2MB file, which is good in that it has another pixels to be made into a larger print than one of only 1000K.   Doesn't mean the quality of those pixels is great.

It would help if you could post an image to discuss.

Re: photo quality

Using your GoPro, could you take a shot in still mode and extract a still from video of the same scene and post both of them here?
