Stolen Z6 and FTZ

Anyone considering a used or new never used Z6 from a private seller might want to check serial numbers.

Stolen in transit from the dealer where I bought my D850.  Good fellows so I'll post the info

We sent a Nikon Z6 + FTZ adapter to Regina, Saskatchewan, and recipient open a claim of the box being empty (only having a dumbbell and paper weights) .

Therefore, we are trying to track down.

I could see going through the trouble for a D850, but a Z6??  Low standard thief, IMO.

Too funny.   Since I still have my D850, but returned my Z6, I have to concur.   [the Z6 just could not maintain focus on my active dogs.]

Who would want to steal ANY recent first gen Nikon camera? LOL

Oh yeah, it’s the sort of thieves that stole first gen D800’s, D600’s, and D750’s before Nikon had the problems in these sorted.

Haha. Same with me. I kept both my D850 and D4S. To me, both DSLRs are still superior to the Nikon mirrorless. Nikon has been working on perfecting the DSLR for 20 years now, the Z series is still first gen. Perhaps I will reconsider the mirrorless line once they have plenty of native lenses. I just hate using all sorts of adaptors, and I can't give up my teles!

It's back up. Seems they had sold it through Ebay, and buyer claimed there was nothing in the box, except the more worthwhile dumbbell.

When I lived in Sweden, I forgot my sport bag on a train with my ASICS and a then new tech LED forehead lamp. Took two weeks for train company to trace my bag. When I got it back my brand new size 10 ASICS were still in the bag, but my forehead lamp was gone, traded with a non-functional Timex wrist watch. I felt better since the perp had made an effort, albeit I was shorted by the deal...

I bought d850 direct (online-shipped Canada Post) from BJ Photo couple month ago because no one can beat locally (Alberta). As first I was nervous, but they are real Nikon Authorized dealer with great service and offer lowest price in CANADA

He gave me the code to order from his website that code for specific the deal we agreed. Received on time, well packed, test shutter count 01 for first shot, Canadian serial number 5xxxxx. BTW his deal is 300 CAD lower than lowest price I can find

They are good people. I bought my D850 from them.  Think it's father and son operation.  Nikon authorized dealer, using Kijiji ads and the internet to expand their customer base.

I walked into the store to buy mine as it's a short drive from Toronto.
