Are you planning talking head videos where the camera is on a tripod and you are stationery behind a desk, or will it be something more "active"?

Thanks. For now - stationary.

If you have a laptop or even an old desktop or something, just install the Canon software, connect your 6D via USB and see what happens. Even if you don't have a touch screen on that laptop/PC, you should at least be able to see your self while doing video.  16-35mm f/4.0 isn't a bad lens. In theory the 40mm f/2.8 is brigther, but it also could have more vignetting wide open as it is a pancake lens.  Put it at 35mm or a bit wider and you're good to go. Maybe you'll find out another focal length works better?

Lenses and resolution isn't always that important. Maybe you can spend that money later on by adding a bit of light.

If your facts are different we could save the peace just by calling it copy to copy variation.

Thanks.  I already have a Genaray LED-7100T which I put on a light stand and mix that with window light.
