GR III WiFi connection? GR Remote Viewer?

I am waiting for my GR III arrive next Wednesday and take this baby on a oversea trip.  I wonder which option I will have to transfer images to my iPhone and how good is it. Since the official app from Ricoh won’t support GR III until end of April, I wonder if any one can share his/her experiences with the WiFi (web browser) and the GR Remote Viewer from Xiao Xiao

Any advice will help

thanks in advance

The file transfer works fine with that app. You can remotely trigger the shutter using the app but there is no live view yet in the remote control.

Thanks for the info on that app. I might jump in and get it.

How about the transfer speed with the app? Is that acceptable?

It sends the full size file (your choice of jpeg or raw if shooting both) and it takes around 2 to 3 seconds for the jpeg to transfer. JPEG was 12.8 mb. That is fine IMO.

I got a new GRIII this week and have been using both GR Viewer and Image Sync successfully to get photos from the camera.  Not all of the features work, but simple transfers do.

I hope the the live view and the touch focus will work soon on the app. That could be so nice!

Hi there, how dod you get the image sync to app to work? I keep getting error message that the app is not supported, and my iPhone doesn't even see the BT pairing, I can only pair with wifi, I tried the GR viewer app, I can transfer easily but can not control. Help greatly appreciated. Thanks

something like this?

I doubt if that will work as the GRIII doesn’t have IR remote sensor AFAIK.

Anyway the Ricoh iOS App Image Sync works just fine: easy BT pairing and WiFi connection, remote viewer and trigger are OK, I didn't test the transfer yet.

The App is not the fastest, but it does the job.

I have no issues with the Inage Sync app.  It’s nice it transfers raw files.  Sony and Fuji can not transfer raw files wirelessly.

Cascable app for IOS does raw transfer via WiFi from many Fuji cameras.
