THE CARGOS AND FREGATES SERIES REVISITED
10

This time done with the oval progressive tool in ACR filter of PS

This corresponds to my taste, it is however easy to adjust the vignetting to have amore moderate effect according to prefrences

enjoy

The clouds give a nice touch. It looks to me that some of them are not level?

To my eyes: #1 and #8.

It could be that they need a small perspective correction, rather than levelling. A small point, anyway.

Since you asked. . .

Since you specifically asked, Bob, I'll give you the hypercritical blow by blow [g]. . .

In the above, all I 'see' (beyond the appeal of the composition/subject/treatment) is this isn't a level shot. (no vignette distraction/notice at all)

Almost unnoticeable (left side of subject), but that's looking for something to pick at.   The rest works very well.

(again, above) ditto, have to look even harder [g]

I suppose the bright ring of water in front of the ships could be natural, but as a peer I question it.

Whoa! Vignette dead ahead! Full reverse, all engines.. . .

Etc. I see where you've use placement and such to draw focus to the subject. (+1). . . Where the vignette becomes a bit evident, try a greater amount of feathering. If possible, put these aside for 3-7 days, then return to them an look at them with a fresh eye.

Very nice shooting Bob. I like the vignettes.

Some really tired iron in a couple of those shots, and state of the art new in others. Nice perspective in contrast.

Re: Since you asked. . .

Thx Bob

Ther is definitly a learning curve in the handling of the oval function in BW As all beginners, i most probably pushed a bit too much some sliders, but i guess i'm improving

Indeed, I'd say you are.  No guessing, either.
