EOS RP: Why no menu item for drive mode?
1

I've been through all the EOS RP menus several times and drive mode seems to be missing.  Just about any other setting can be controlled through the menu (e.g., focus mode, ISO, etc.)

I would like to set up a custom menu that has both drive mode and focus mode on it.

One way I found is to add to: M-FN menu item.  Press M-Fn, followed by rotating the wheel to choose the right drive mode. You can customize the M-Fn items in C.FN III: Operation/Others menu.

Not entirely sure if this is what you are looking for but if you hit Q you can easily bring up all the options on the screen and drive mode is available on the left-hand side.  Hopefully, this helps.  I am not in front to f my RP now, but I think you can also customize a button to do this.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestions, but I already know about those.

What I am looking for is the ability to have a custom menu (accessible by the menu button) that has all the settings I frequently change in one place.  You can do this on the My Menu tab, and then add any menu item to your personalized menu.  Virtually every camera setting is available, except for drive mode...?

Sorry Rich!  Misunderstood your question.  You are correct. It is odd that that isn't there as almost every other option, including folding the laundry, appears to be available.

The "reason" although I agree not a very good reason is that the RP is an EOS/Powershot hybrid, with features, menus and controls lifted from both the EOS and Powershot parts bins.   Hence the drive mode on the fixed items Q Menu.
