Just a FYI to let folks know that this works quite well.

Using the genuine Olympus USB cable with a USB-A female to USB-C male adapter, connected to the USB-C port on the tablet from the camera. Can then copy/paste from the camera to either the primary storage or MicroSD card in the tablet.

After copying to the tablet, a USB stick can be connected to the tablet for copying from the tablet to the USB stick. Tested with both the SanDisk dual stick (both USB-A and USB-C ports) and an older USB-A stick.

Also tested copying from the tablet thru a Transcend SD USB-A card reader (with USB-C adapter) to a SD card. This also works in both directions should you not want to connect directly from the camera to the tablet.

So a very wide variety of ways to backup camera images until I get a camera with dual memory card slots.

The tablet is running Android 8.1 and can view raw images from my Olympus and former Fuji X-T1 as well. Also works with my LG G7 ThinQ smartphone on Android 8.0, same capabilities as with the tablet.

Note: connecting the camera or a memory card to an Android device will cause Android to store some files and folders (quite small) on the memory card. When done, just format the card in the camera (after disconnecting from the phone/tablet of course) and those files are erased.

Some might suggest using the camera's WiFi capability which will also perform these functions without the need for cables and adapters. The problem I've found is that it is both slow and eats battery life. And this on newly purchased, genuine Olympus batteries that are fully charged.

Regards,
Bill
