Missing aperture setting on Movie mode - GX8

I'm sure that on the GF1, there was the ability to control the aperture, or at least the depth of field, when shooting video.  This seems to have disappeared on later models (GX1, GX7, GX8).  Is it hidden somewhere or am I wrong?

For the modern Panasonics, the only way to control aperture/shutter/ISO for video is in the Creative Video Mode on the mode dial (M icon with movie camera next to it). Any other mode on mode dial the settings don't affect video at all, only stills.

Switch the mode dial to Creative Video Mode, then use either the touch screen to select top left corner and change the video mode from "P" to "A" or "M" to change aperture. Or use the menu > [Motion Picture] > [Exposure Mode].

See page 119 in advanced manual.

Many thanks.  I felt that it must be somewhere.  I read that page in the manual, but I guess the disadvantage of disabling the touch-screen is that the mode change is harder to reach.
