Very instructive! Thanks. I recall seeing an owl in mid day at the local cemetery. Maybe this was unusual?

Not necessarily.  They get a touch more active in the late afternoons and evenings and are perhaps a bit easier to locate.  We've gone out earlier in the day as well, though usually still approaching the latter part of the afternoon.

I don't have the patient persistence this sort of wild capture takes.   Kudos, this is a brilliant portrait.

Re: Amazing winter sunset at Mont saint Michel bay

Those ARE lovely, Bob.   I especially like what you did with this delicate pastel light in the more abstract composition, the 2nd in the series.  Thumbs up.

Thank you Bob,

I can look at a beautiful creature like this for hours if I'm taking it's picture every time it does something interesting

Nice set, especially #1.  I think the placement of the two figures really makes the shot.

Re: A few from yesterday's walk

Some good shots here

on 1) I'd crop the foreground a bit to 4:3 format

on 2) it's slightly underexposed, a bit of levels would rectify it

Seems to me that you’re doing great with the venue you have, Vic.  Nice work.

Nothing wrong with doing what one is good at doing.    I for one am glad you did, enjoying the subjects as well as treatment.

Wow - NICE!  Like the subtle colors and the hazy fade gradient into the distant

If that isn't a "million dollar view", I don't know what IS.

Makes one "feel good to be ALIVE", does it not?
